Praying Mantis Mosaic Mailbox

 Fall 2006

The praying mantis is lying on a big white daisy on top of my mailbox. In front she is holding an ootheca, which is a praying mantis egg case, on which I wrote PEACE, with hopes that by springtime, when 300 baby praying mantises are due to emerge,  we will have No More War. 

Her name is Phoenix.
